Presiden Terpilih AS Trump Pertimbangkan Deklarasi Darurat Ekonomi untuk Memungkinkan Program Tarif Baru – CNN

Presiden terpilih AS Donald Trump sedang mempertimbangkan untuk mendeklarasikan keadaan darurat ekonomi nasional guna memungkinkan program tarif baru, demikian dilaporkan CNN, mengutip empat sumber yang memahami masalah tersebut pada hari Rabu.

"Deklarasi tersebut akan memungkinkan Trump untuk menyusun program tarif baru dengan menggunakan Undang-Undang Kekuasaan Darurat Ekonomi Internasional/International Economic Emergency Powers Act, yang dikenal sebagai "IEEPA," yang secara sepihak memberi wewenang kepada presiden untuk mengelola impor selama keadaan darurat nasional," demikian bunyi laporan tersebut.
