Kato, Jepang: Pasar Obligasi Harus Memutuskan Langkah Suku Bunga

Berbicara dalam konferensi pers pada hari Selasa, Menteri Keuangan Jepang Katsunobu Kato mengatakan bahwa "kami akan merespons dengan tepat dengan mempertimbangkan bahwa pasar harus diizinkan untuk menentukan pergerakan pasar."

Ia lebih lanjut mencatat bahwa "pasar obligasi harus memutuskan pergerakan suku bunga" setelah imbal hasil utang pemerintah bertenor 40 tahun sempat melonjak ke level tertinggi yang belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya.

Kato menolak untuk mengomentari faktor-faktor di balik kenaikan imbal hasil, dengan mengatakan "melakukannya akan berdampak pada pasar."
