USD/CAD Sedikit Pulih Di Tengah Penguatan USD, Diperdagangkan Di Atas 1,3800

  • Minyak mentah mendapatkan traksi pada hari Jumat, WTI naik lebih dari 7%.
  • Indeks Dolar AS naik lebih tinggi menuju level 98.
  • Berikutnya: Indeks Keyakinan Konsumen UoM dan Indeks Harga Impor/Ekspor dari AS.

Pasangan USD/CAD naik ke level yang lebih tinggi dalam lebih dari lima tahun di 1,3963 pada hari Kamis didorong oleh penguatan luas USD dan tekanan jual yang berat di sekitar minyak mentah. Dengan sentimen pasar membaik pada hari Jumat dan minyak mentah melakukan rebound yang solid, pasangan ini berbalik arah dan jatuh ke 1,3780 sebelum mulai menghapus penurunannya. Pada saat penulisan, pasangan ini masih turun 0,7% hari ini di 1,3830.

Pergeseran positif dalam sentimen risiko

Aksi jual panik yang telah mendominasi pasar keuangan sejak awal minggu akhirnya tampaknya telah melunak karena bank-bank sentral utama dan ekonomi mengambil tindakan-tindakan untuk mengatasi dampak negatif wabah virus corona pada aktivitas ekonomi.

Indeks ekuitas utama Eropa mencatatkan kenaikan yang signifikan dan West Texas Intermediate (WTI) yang peka terhadap risiko naik lebih dari 7% untuk membantu loonie yang peka terhadap komoditas menemukan permintaan.

Namun, rebound tajam yang disaksikan dalam yield obligasi Treasury AS 10-tahun memberikan dorongan kepada greenback dan memungkinkan pasangan ini untuk menjauh dari terendah. Menjelang Indeks Harga Impor/Ekspor dan data Indeks Keyakinan Konsumen UoM dari AS, Indeks Dolar AS naik 0,4% hari ini di 97,92.
