USD/CAD Merayap Lebih Rendah Menuju 1,2660 Dengan WTI Pertahankan Kenaikan Di Atas $62

  • USD/CAD jatuh untuk hari kelima berturut-turut pada hari Rabu.
  • WTI naik lebih dari 1% menjelang data Perubahan Persediaan Minyak Mentah EIA.
  • Indeks Dolar AS tetap tenang di atas 90,00 menjelang testimoni Powell.

Pasangan USD/CAD menutup empat hari perdagangan sebelumnya di wilayah negatif dan terus melemah pada hari Rabu. Pada saat penulisan, pasangan ini diperdagangkan sedikit di atas terendah multi-tahun yang dicatat di 1,2557, turun 0,2% pada basis harian di 1,2564.

WTI naik di atas $62 menjelang laporan EIA

Kenaikan harga minyak mentah memberikan dorongan bagi loonie yang terkait komoditas pada hari Rabu. Saat ini, per barel West Texas Intermediate (WTI) naik 1,5% di $62,10. Nanti di sesi ini, data Perubahan Persediaan Minyak Mentah mingguan Energy Information Administration (EIA) AS akan diamati untuk mencari dorongan baru. Investor memperkirakan penurunan 5,3 juta barel dalam persediaan minyak mentah AS dan penurunan yang lebih besar dari perkiraan dapat membantu WTI mempertahankan momentum bullish.

Di sisi lain, Indeks Dolar AS tetap relatif tenang setelah rebound moderat pada hari Selasa dan memungkinkan harga minyak mentah untuk terus memengaruhi pergerakan USD/CAD.

Di sesi ini, Ketua FOMC Jerome Powell akan memberikan testimoni di depan Komite Jasa Keuangan DPR. Pada hari Selasa, Powell meyakinkan pasar bahwa mereka akan terus mendukung perekonomian dan meremehkan kekhawatiran potensi kenaikan tajam inflasi. Indeks utama Wall Street melakukan rebound yang signifikan atas pernyataan Powell dan reaksi pasar yang serupa dapat memaksa greenback untuk tetap dalam posisi yang tidak menguntungkan.
